“With so many good actors in this film I was really expecting so much more. And with amazing films like "Mandela And De Klerk" and "Darkest Hour" it is possible to do political movies on historical figures well as a movie and make them interesting.”

“With the American civil war looking like it might finally be drawing to a close, President Abraham Lincoln (Daniel Day-Lewis) is increasingly turning his attention to the passing of the 13th amendment to the constitution.”

“This is a flat out great movie. I first watched it several years ago and enjoyed it, so recently I noticed it on the IMDB streaming service and decided to watch it again. I still think it is great. I guess I had forgotten that it was a Spielberg film, so why wouldn’t it be great?”
